SevenMila concluded the 5th edition of the BUFF® Montjuïc-Tibidabo road race on high note. The 2026 event gathered more than 1,400 participants who took to the streets to experience one of Barcelona’s most distinctive athletic challenges.
As tradition dictates, the historic Montjuïc Castle hosted the race start at 8:00 AM on All Saints’ Day.
This year’s edition was marked by the mandatory cancellation of the iconic 21K half-marathon distance, prompted by environmental restrictions regarding African swine fever monitoring in the Collserola mountain range. In response, SevenMila focused exclusively on delivering a high-quality 10K race and established a new finish line at the Centro Asturiano de Barcelona, extending full gratitude to the venue for its immediate cooperation and operational support.
A Unique Sea-to-Mountain Challenge
Since its debut in 2022, the Montjuïc-Tibidabo race has established itself as an autumn sporting highlight. Starting under the first morning light at Montjuïc Castle, it remains the only running competition to traverse Barcelona end-to-end along a vertical line from the coast toward the mountains.
