• From May 5 to 7 will be held in Almeria the first edition of the urban multi-sport event in the English Cable.

The city of Almeria will host the first edition of Andalucía Urban from May 5 to 7 at the emblematic Cable Inglés. This event will bring together the best BMX, Breaking and Scooter Park athletes, seeking to contribute to the practice of sport and urban culture and promote it among young people in the autonomous community.

The Andalucía Urban will have the support of the Junta de Andalucía and is expected the participation of big names such as Esteban Clot, Marin Rantes and Anna “Furia” Ortega, as well as other elite athletes that will be revealed in the coming weeks. It will be open to the public and will take place on two main stages: Central Park and the Urban Stage, which will occupy more than 2,000 m² of competition area. The Central Park will witness the BMX Men & Women and Scooter Park Men competitions, while the Urban Stage will host two breaking battles at the same time.

 

Breaking and BMX: urban disciplines to shine at the Olympic Games

This will also be an event that will mark a milestone in the history of urban sports by hosting two sports disciplines that will be present at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games: Breaking and BMX.

Breaking will take place at the Urban Stage, where the WDSF European Breaking Championship will be held, which will thrill all attendees with its impossible movements and will also score points for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Where points will also be added for the Olympics will be in BMX, where the best athletes will meet in the BMX C1 circuit, promoted by the UCI. On the other hand, the Scooter will unleash madness in Central Park with a competition in which the best riders of the Park discipline are prepared to amaze all visitors with their impossible tricks and full of technique.
