- EsportCat Extreme 2023 will take place in Tarragona, Palau Solità i Plegamans, Lleida, Figueres and Calafell
- The modalities will be Skate, Scooter, BMX and Breaking, supported by the Catalan federations
SevenMila created in 2021 together with the Secretaría General del Deporte the first urban sports circuit, to promote the practice of Skate, Scooter and BMX among young Catalans and discover new local talents. This year, the second edition of EsportCat Extreme will once again tour the skateparks of Catalunya, passing through Tarragona, Palau Solità i Plegamans, Lleida, Figueres and Calafell.
This year, EsportCat Extreme has the support of La Secretaría General del Deporte and la Actividad Física and the catalan Skating, Cycling and Dance Federations, which are supporting the event and will actively participate in the sporting management of each of the races. In addition, the Catalan Skating Federation is satisfied with the creation of new urban sports circuits, as they consider that EsportCat Extreme 2023 will be a loudspeaker to promote and consolidate Skateboarding and Scooter in our country, two small-wheeled disciplines that have grown the most over time.
The event will take place in the five Catalan cities between April and September, and the best classified in the four disciplines will win a place to compete in the international events of Extreme Barcelona, one of the top urban sporting events of the year, which this year celebrates its 15th anniversary.
In this edition, EsportCat Extreme will feature the novelty of Breaking, a discipline that will make its leap to Olympic sport in Paris 2024, which, with the support of the Federació Catalana de Ball, will hold a single event on 3 and 4 June in Lleida, coinciding with the regional Breaking championship of the Catalan Federation of Ball Esportiu.
